DIOMIRA MARIA del VERBO INCARNATO, venerable. — Capuchin nun, in the world Maria Teresa Serri, born in Genoa on 27 February 1708 to Swiss parents, died at Fanano (Modena) on 14 January 1768. She entered the monastery of Fanano (Modena) in October 1730, where she served as mistress of novices and superior.
A precious spiritual document is her autobiography, written at the confessor’s command. The cause of beatification was introduced by Leo XIII on 21 December 1901.
