DOMINICI, DOMENICO, bishop. – B. in Venice in 1416, he was teaching philosophy at Padua as early as 1437; summoned to Rome by Eugenius IV, he was subsequently appointed bishop of Torcello by Nicholas V on 20 February 1448. A good humanist, he delivered the address to the cardinals for the Conclaves of 1458 and 1464. At the invitation of Pius II, he drafted a plan for the reform of the Curia; Paul II transferred him to the bishopric of Brescia on 14 November 1464 and commissioned him to deliver the address for peace in 1468. D. in Brescia on 17 February 1478.
