ELISAPHAN. - I. Levite, son of Uzziel, head of the family of the Kohathites (Num. 3:30) at the time of the census of the people of Israel around Mount Sinai. The descendants of his family are still mentioned at the time of David and Hezekiah (1 Chron. 15:8; 2 Chron. 29:13).
2. A prince or chief of the tribe of Zebulun, who represented it in the distribution of the Promised Land (Num. 34:25).
