ELIASAPH (Hebr. 'Eljasaph, “God increases”). — 1. Son of Duel (De'ā'el), head of the tribe of Dan at the time of the census conducted by Moses and when the Hebrews left Sinai (Num. 1:14; 2:14). Like the other tribal chiefs, he presented the offerings of the descendants of Dan for the sacrifices (Num. 7:42, 47).
