ENRICO di HERFORD. - Dominican theologian and historian, born at Herford at the beginning of the 14th century, died at Minden on 13 October 1370. A religious at Minden, he was definitor for his province of Saxony at the General Chapter of Milan in 1340.
He is known to historians for his Liber de rebus memorabilibus sive chronicum mundi (ed. Potthast, Göttingen 1850), a chronicle from the origin of the world down to 1355, of considerable value for the historical period contemporary with the author. Of his other works, only the Catena entium survives (Erfurt Library, codices 370 and 371).
