ENRICO of HERFORD. - Dominican theologian and historian, born in Herford at the beginning of the 14th century, died in Minden on 13 October 1370. A religious in Minden, he served as definitor for his province of Saxony at the General Chapter of Milan in 1340.
He is known to historians for his *Liber de rebus memoriae biblis sive chronicum mundi* (ed. Pothast, Göttingen 1580), a chronicle from the origin of the world up to 1355, of notable value for the historical period contemporary with the author. Of his other works, only the *Catena entium* survives (Erfurt Library, mss. 370 and 371).
