FELDMANN, JOSEPH. – German philosopher and priest, born at Olpe (Meschede) on 23 February 1878, died at Paderborn on 29 July 1927. He received degrees in philosophy and theology in Rome. From 1917 he taught philosophy at the Paderborn Seminary.
In addition to his assiduous collaboration with the journals Theologie und Glaube and Philosoph. Jahrbuch and the direction (from 1925) of Schöning’s Sammlung philosophischer Lesestoffe, he wrote: Paradies und Sündenfall (Münster in V. 1913); Thomas von Aquin und die Philosophie der Gegenwart (Paderborn 1924); Schule der Philosophie (there 1925); Praktische Wühe für den Philosophienunterricht an den höheren Schulen (there 1926); Obhulte Philosophie (there 1927); noteworthy and forward-looking were the articles on the same subject published in Theol. u. Glaube in 1925.
