DAUGHTERS OF THE CHARITY OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD. - Institute founded by Canon Tommaso Maria Fusco at Pagani (Salerno) in 1872. Its purpose is the education of infants and children in nurseries, schools and orphanages, and the care of the sick and the disabled. Approved by the Holy See in 1921, it numbers about 500 religious in 50 houses, all in Italy.
