DAUGHTERS OF OUR LADY OF THE SACRED HEART (Naples). - They had their origin in Montefalcione (archdiocese of Benevento) in 1888 through the work of Ida Cassi and with the approval of the local Ordinary. The generalate house was in the diocese of Nola and subsequently in the archdiocese of Naples at Arzano, where it currently is. On 8 April 1935 they received the decree of praise and together with it the temporary approval of the constitutions, which were then definitively approved on 8 April 1946. In 1922 the habit of the sisters was considerably modified.

These sisters devote themselves to schools, nurseries, workshops, boarding schools for girls, orphanages, shelters, seminaries, care of the sick in hospitals and nursing homes, and the teaching of catechism in parishes. In 1943 there were 288 sisters with 41 houses.
