Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Naples). — They originated in Montefalcone (archdiocese of Benevento) in 1888 through the work of Ida Cassi and with the approval of the local ordinary. The generalate was in the diocese of Nola and subsequently in the archdiocese of Naples at Arzano, where it is currently located. On 8 April 1935 they received the decree of praise and at the same time temporary approval of their constitutions, which were definitively approved on 8 April 1946. In 1922 the habit of the sisters was somewhat modified.
They are engaged in schools, kindergartens, workshops, boarding schools, orphanages, shelters, seminaries, care of the sick in hospitals and nursing homes, and teaching catechism in parishes. In 1943 there were 288 sisters in 41 houses.
