INFANTA. – Nullius prelature and city in the Philippine Islands, established on 25 April 1950 by Pope Pius XII through the apostolic constitution Praecibus annuntes, by detachment from the diocese of Lipa of the Polillo Islands and of the northern part of the civil province of Quezon; the residential see of the prelature is established in the city of I.; the church of S. Marco Evangelista is elevated to prelatic dignity; the prelature is a suffragan of Manila.
