LIBER GENERATIONIS. — Latin chronicle, with data taken from Holy Scripture; list of rulers, ending in the year 234.
Mommsen established that the L. g. is ultimately nothing other than a recension of the Chronicle of Hippolytus. The L. g. is, alongside the Chronica Horosii (in the Chronographer of the year 354) and the chronicle known by the name Excerpta latina barbara (VII–VIII), one of the Latin witnesses to the work of Hippolytus.
