Liber Generationis

LIBER GENERATIONIS. - A Latin chronicle, with data taken from Sacred Scripture; a list of rulers, ending in the year 234.

Mommsen established that the L. g. is fundamentally nothing other than a recension of the Chronicle of Hippolytus. The L. g. is, alongside the Chronica Horosii (in the Chronographer of the year 354) and the chronicle that goes under the name Excerpta latina barbara (7th-8th century), one of the Latin witnesses to the work of Hippolytus.
