« LUX ALMA IESU MENTIUM ». – Hymn of Lauds for the feast of the Transfiguration; taken from the Jubilus rhythmicus de Nomine Iesu of the first half of the thirteenth century, by an unknown author, falsely attributed to St Bernard (v. IESU DECUS ANGELICUM).
On Tabor Jesus revealed his divinity to the three Apostles who had followed him there, and his face shone like the sun. May this divine light inspire sentiments of trust in asking Jesus to enlighten minds, dispel darkness, and infuse charity and gentleness.
