MAXIMIN, Bishop of the Goths. - He lived at the end of the 4th century and the beginning of the 5th; of origin, as it seems, Danubian. A personality that could become of notable theological and literary interest whenever the intricate problems concerning his identification and a more certain attribution of his works should be resolved. He accompanied a Gothic military expedition commanded by the count Segisvultus, sent to Africa by the court of Ravenna, to subdue there the revolt of the count Boniface.
