MISSIONARI FIGLI DEL SACRO CUORE DI GESÙ. – Religious congregation dependent on the Sacred Congregation of Propaganda, which established it by decree of 27 July 1923 with the German members of the Congregation of the Sons of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose Constitutions and purpose it has retained, namely, the conversion of infidels, and particularly of Africans.
It has 8 houses in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Yugoslavia, and 170 professed members. The mother house is in Ellwangen, Jagst (Germany). The apostolic vicariate of Lydenburg (Transvaal) is entrusted to it; some of its religious also work in Peru.
