Paschale Mundo Gaudium

"PASCHALE MUNDO GAUDIUM." - Hymn of Lauds in the common of the Apostles during the Easter season.

The three stanzas of which it is composed are part of the hymn falsely attributed to St. Ambrose: Aurora coelum purpurat, though of a very ancient date and by an unknown author (cf. Blume, LI, p. 90). In it is expressed the joy of the Apostles at the Resurrection of Jesus, of which they will be the authorized and official witnesses.
