PERIODICA DE RE MORALI CANONICA LITURGICA. - A quarterly journal published by professors of the Pontifical Gregorian University.
It originated from a periodical publication begun in Belgium in 1901 by Fr Arturo Vermeersch under the title De religiosis institutis et personis supplementa et monumenta periodica, intended for religious and missionaries as a continuous updating of the treatise De religiosis by Fr Vermeersch himself. Through various transformations and transfers of its headquarters to Rome, it became in 1927 the present journal of moral theology, canon law, and liturgy. Besides publishing articles of a scholarly and practical character on various questions and providing appropriate bibliographical information, it has consistently reproduced in full the most important documents issued by the Holy See, accompanying them with precise explanatory notes, and has summarized the contents of all other pontifical documents of lesser importance. This gives particular value to the journal’s complete series of volumes.
