“REGIS SUPERNI NUNTIA.” – Hymn for Vespers and Matins on the feast of St Teresa of Jesus, composed by Urban VIII in 1629 when he extended her feast to the Universal Church.
The hymn classically recalls the two most significant moments of the Saint’s life: the poem of her love for Jesus and her desire, from her earliest years, to go as a missionary to the lands of the unbelievers and seal her mission with her blood.
