«REGIS SUPERNI NUNTIA». – Hymn of Vespers and Matins for the feast of s. Teresa di Gesù, composed by Urban VIII in 1629, when he extended her feast to the universal Church.
The hymn recalls in classical form the two most significant moments in the Saint’s life: the poem of her love for Jesus and her desire, from her youthful years onward, to depart as a missionary to the lands of the infidels and seal her mission with her blood.
