SALONIO of GENEVA. — Son of Eucherius of Lyons and brother of Veranius (bishop of Vence), S. became bishop of Geneva before 439.
He wrote an Expositio mystica in Parabolas Salomonis (PL 53, 967–94) and an Expositio mystica in Ecclesiastam (ibid. 993–1012) in the form of a dialogue with his brother. Together with Bishop Ceretius of Grenoble, the two brothers wrote a letter to Pope Leo I concerning his Epistola dogmatica (cf. Leo M., Ep. 68: PL 54, 887–90).
