« SALUTIS AETERNAE DATOR ». — Hymn of Lauds in the Office of the feast of All Saints, by an unknown author; it appears in manuscripts of the ninth century.
It consists of a sequence of litanic-inspired invocations to Christ, the Virgin, the Angels, the Apostles, the Patriarchs, the Prophets, St John the Baptist, St Peter, the martyrs, the confessors, and the virgins; finally, a prayer to all the blessed possessors of the heavenly kingdom, that they may lend force to our prayers.
