St. Peregrine Laziosi in Alto Acre and Alto Purus, Prelature of

SAN PELLEGRINO LAZIOSI NEGLI ALTO ACRE E ALTO PURUS, PRELATURE. — Suffragan of Belém do Pará, in the territory of Acre (Amazonia), Brazil.

It has an area of 100,000 sq. km, with 100,000 inhabitants, all Catholics. Erected on 4 Oct. 1919 by the apostolic bull Universae regimen, following its separation from the diocese of Amazzoni, and entrusted to the Servants of Mary, with 5 parishes and 8 religious priests. There are communities of the Sisters Servants of Mary Reparatrix.

Residence: Sena Madureira, Alto Acre (Brazil).
