VICO EQUENSE. – Town and former diocese in the province of Naples.
It was an episcopal see from the 13th century until 1818, when it was suppressed by Pope Pius VII and incorporated into the see of Sorrento, of which it had been a suffragan. The ancient Cathedral is dedicated to the holy martyrs Ciro and Giovanni.
