CARLO ALLEGRETTI. — Marchigian painter, born in Monteprandone (Ascoli) in the second half of the 16th century. He was inspired by the Venetian school where he had trained. In addition to the Adoration of the Magi in the Ascoli cathedral (1611), considered his masterpiece, we recall among his works: a St Augustine in Offida, a St Bartholomew and a Martyrdom of St Bartholomew (1605–1608) in Ascoli.
