ALOISI (ALOVISI), GIOVANNI BATTISTA. — A musician of the late seventeenth century, of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. Chapel master in Bologna, he composed much sacred music, a considerable part of which remains in manuscript in the archives of Bologna: Motesta festorum totius anni, for four or more voices (Milan 1583); Armonicum coelum, a collection of Masses for four or more voices (Venice 1628).
