ANTONIO di GIUSTO. – Florentine sculptor, born in 1479, who moved to France with his brothers Giovanni (d. 1549) and Andrea. In 1507 he sculpted the funerary monument of Tommaso James, bishop of Dol in Brittany, with the collaboration of his brother Giovanni, whose name appears in the inscription affixed to the monument itself; in Gaillon he executed 12 alabaster figures of apostles, placed in the castle chapel. From 1516, again in collaboration with his brother, he executed the funerary monument of King Ludovico XII and Anna di Bretagna in the basilica of S. Denis in Paris. Nothing is known of the activity that A. must have carried out. He died before leaving Italy.
