CATHOLIC TRUTH SOCIETY. - It is an association of laypeople and priests for promoting Catholic printing among the faithful and for making known to Protestants the faith and practice of our religion. It originated in 1884 in England, especially through the initiative of Cardinal H. Vaughan and James Britten.
Its publications, sold at minimal prices, have always enjoyed great success and, in simple and clear form, have addressed questions concerning the various parts of Catholic doctrine. It is in full development not only in England but in all other English-speaking nations.
