CONGREGATION OF THE HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY. - It originated at Lanciano, in Abruzzo, in 1880 on the initiative of Fr. Lorenzo Lisio and Maria Domenica Rosati, for the care of the sick in hospitals and at home, assistance to female detainees, and the education and instruction of young women. It has a few houses in Abruzzo and one in Rome.
