EZNIK. - Called Kolpatzi, or of Kolb, an Armenian writer of the 5th century, who took part in the translation of the Bible and wrote an Adversus haereses, in 4 vols., to refute the theories of paganism, of Mazdeism, of Greek philosophy and of Manichaeism. His style is considered eminently classical for purity and elegance (first editions at Smyrna 1762 and at Venice 1826).
