Giuseppe FALCONE; — Born in Naples on 4 July 1802, died there on 13 June 1866. He belonged to the Congregation of the Mission (admitted on 3 December 1816) and for several years devoted himself to missionary ministry and clerical retreats in the then Kingdom of Naples.
Forced by illness into inaction while still in his prime, he turned to writing ascetical booklets, which met with considerable success. The principal ones are: Gesù dalla Croce nel cuore del mondano (Naples 1825, 6th ed. ibid. 1848); Raccolta di sacre indulgenze (ibid. 1848); Vita cristiana (Bari 1842); Raccolta di sacre cerimonie (Naples 1850).
