FULGENZIO of San Giuseppe. — Missionary. In 1666 at Fanano (Modena), he professed in the Order of the Discalced Carmelites (Province of Lombardy) in 1685. Invited as a missionary to India, he was vicar general of the apostolic vicariate of the Great Mogul at Surat (1700), then he was entrusted with handling the affairs concerning the dissolution of the suppressed convent of Goa (1702). Returning to Italy (1703), he died on 13 October 1734 in Modena.
There survives of him the interesting work: *Relazione di viaggi di mare come di terra e quanto in quelli di più particolare successo*, in *L'Archiginnasio*, 2 (1907), pp. 73-106.
