LENTINI, DOMENICO. - Priest, b. at Lauria on 20 Nov. 1770, d. there on 24 Feb. 1828. At the age of 20 he entered the Seminary of Policastro, where he studied theology. Ordained deacon on 26 Oct. 1793, he returned to his native town to teach the children of the people, while not neglecting to complete his theological studies. A priest on 8 June 1794, he continued teaching, spending his whole life in the threefold fruitful apostolate of the school, preaching, and the confessional. The cause for his beatification has been introduced.
