Marc, Clément

MARC, CLÉMENT. - Redemptorist, b. at Jouy-sous-les-Côtes (Verdun) on 24 July 1831, d. at Rome on 27 Jan. 1887.

He taught moral theology to his confreres at Téterchen, where he was also rector. He compiled the Institutiones morales Alphonsianae (Rome 1885; 20th ed., Lyon 1943), which were received and adopted with great satisfaction, and also abridged into an Epitome (Rome 1930) by S. Gianni. M. was also an expert canonist and a distinguished director of souls.
