MARC, CLÉMENT. – Redemptorist, born at Jouy-sous-les-Côtes (Verdun) on 24 July 1831, died in Rome on 27 January 1887.
He taught moral theology to his confrères at Téterchen, where he was also rector. He compiled the Institutiones morales Alphonsianae (Rome 1885; 20th ed., Lyon 1943), which were received and adopted with great satisfaction, and also abridged in the Epitome (Rome 1930) by S. Gianni. M. was also an expert canonist and a distinguished spiritual director.
