OCTAVARIUM ROMANUM. — A Lithuanian book of the Roman Church, of optional use, which contains the lessons for the second and third Nocturns to be read during the days of the particular octaves of the feasts of patrons and titulars of churches.
Once the norms for the celebration of particular octaves of patrons and titulars of churches had been definitively established by St. Pius V with the publication of the reformed Breviary (1568) and Missal (1570), the lack of proper lessons for the ordinary days of
