PELLEGRINI, ALESSANDRO. — Preacher and exegete, born at Matelica in 1600, died in Rome on 28 August 1647. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1621; he was a professor of humanities and a superior.
He published: Evangelium secundum Matthaeum paradoxus illustratum (I, Rome 1638; II, Loreto 1645: original, but of little exegetical value); Oratio de Passione Domini habita in die Parasexces coram S.D.N. Urbano VIII a. 1640 (in Orationes quinquaginta de Christi Domini morte habitae... a Patribus S. I., Rome 1641).
