PENTECOSTARION. – Liturgical book of the Byzantine rite containing the proper parts of the Divine Office for the Easter season, that is, from Easter Day to the first Sunday after Pentecost, called All Saints’ Sunday. In the ancient Slavonic editions, and still today among the Ruthenians, the book begins with Palm Sunday. No study exists on the history of the P. Editio princeps, in Greek: Venice 1544.
