PICCOLA COMPAGNIA DI MARIA. – Founded in Nottingham in 1877 by Maria Potter, with the assistance of Bishop Mons. Bogshawe.
On 31 May 1886, the Sacred Congregation of Propaganda Fide approved the Institute and its Constitutions. The P. C. di M. spread rapidly, and is currently present in Australia, South Africa, the United States, and many parts of Europe, with 35 houses and more than 1,000 religious dedicated to assisting the sick and the dying in clinics and hospitals.
