SAINT-JURE, JEAN-BAPTISTE. — Jesuit, writer on asceticism, born at Metz on 19 February 1588, died at Paris on 30 April 1657.

Having entered the Order in 1604, he was for several years professor of literature and philosophy, and subsequently superior of the houses at Amiens, Alençon, Orléans, and Paris. His ascetical works place him among the finest spiritual writers of the Society of Jesus, alongside Fr. A.
