AMBROSINI, FLORIANO. – Architect active in Bologna between the end of the 1500s and the first decades of the 1600s. In 1592 he erected the Dominican church of S. Pietro Martire and, in 1615, that of S. Antonio, where, perhaps owing to the collaboration of B. Sacchi, his style appears enlivened by an accentuated movement of the planes, in keeping with the emergence of the Baroque taste. He also submitted a design for the Cappella dell'Arca di S. Domenico, an engraving on copper of which was made in 1596.
