AMBROSINI, Floriano. — Architect, active in Bologna between the late 1500s and the first decades of the 1600s. In 1592 he designed the Dominican church of S. Pietro Martire, and in 1615 that of S. Antonio, where, perhaps through the collaboration of B. Sacchi, his style appears enlivened by a pronounced movement of planes in accordance with the emerging Baroque taste. He also presented a design for the Cappella dell'Arca di S. Domenico, of which an engraving was made in 1596.
