ANDRUZZI, Luigi. — A learned Greek Catholic, born at Ammonosthos in Cyprus in 1684, died in 1757. Having gone to the Greek college in Rome while still a child, he studied philology and philosophy there. He was a professor at Bologna and took part in the struggle of those times against Protestants and Eastern Orthodox, represented by the Patriarch of Jerusalem Dositheus. In his numerous works he repeats without originality the arguments of the Latin Church. He would have left manuscript works still unpublished.
