ANGUISCIOLA (ANGUISSOLA), LUCIO. - Scotist theologian and philosopher of the Conventual Friars Minor, born in Piacenza, of a patrician family, in 1520, and died in Pisa on 7 October 1592. In 1572 he was professor at the University of Bologna; he was theologian at the Council of Trent in the sessions «de Matrimonio» (20 March 1563). In 1545 A. had been summoned before the same Council as «suspectus de haeresi» and imprisoned (apparently unjustly). He left in manuscript many minor works and miscellaneous questions; he reprinted in Bologna the Liber Conformitatum of Bartolomeo da Pisa.
