BONILLI, PIETRO

PETRO BONILLI. — Priest, born at San Lorenzo di Trevi on 15 March 1841, died at Spoleto on 5 January 1935. For thirty-five years he was parish priest at Cannaiola, then canon penitentiary at Spoleto. A member of the Society of Missionaries of the Holy Family, he promoted common life among the clergy, the association of Christian families, and the apostolate of good press. He founded the Nazareno orphanage, the homonymous institute for deaf-mutes, blind girls and orphans, and in 1888 the institute of the Sisters of the Holy Family (q.v.).
