CAPULIO, Pietro. — Conventual theologian, born in Cortona in the second half of the 16th century, died in Conversano on 24 June 1625. He served as regent of studies at the “Magna Domus Venetiarum” in Bologna and at the Sistine College of St. Bonaventure in Rome (1593–1605). Faithful to the norms laid down by Sixtus V in the establishment of the college, from his chair and in his writings he taught the doctrine of St. Bonaventure. His *Commentaria in I et II Sent. D. Bonaventurae* (Venice 1623–25) are of great value. Paul V appointed him bishop of Conversano on 31 August 1605.
