CAPULIO, PIETRO. - Conventual theologian, b. at Cortona in the second half of the 16th century, d. at Conversano on 24 June 1625. He was regent of Studies in the "Magna Domus Venetiarum," at Bologna and in the Sistine College of St. Bonaventure in Rome (1593-1605). Faithful to the norms laid down by Sixtus V in the institution of the college, from the chair and in his writings he taught the doctrine of St. Bonaventure. His Commentaria in I et II Sent. D. Bonaventurae (Venice 1623-25) are of great value. Paul V created him bishop of Conversano on 31 Aug. 1605.
