CITTÀ DI VITA. – Bimonthly journal of religious studies and theological culture for laypeople, founded in Florence in 1946. The organ of the theological studies and institutes for laypeople established since 1945 in various Italian cities (Florence, Padua, Naples, Perugia, Messina, Assisi, Viterbo, Albano, Potenza), it publishes, in a style of elevated popular exposition, articles on apologetics, dogmatic and moral theology, Church history and patrology, sacred art and literature, the history of philosophy and theology, current religious news, and selected bibliographies. Its director is Fr. Raniero Sciamannini of the F.M.C., head of the Florence Study Centre (Basilica of S. Croce); its contributors are the teachers of the various theological studies and institutes for laypeople and other distinguished writers (Bargellini, Battelli, Brezzi, Del Boni, Degl'Innocenti, Garin, Levasti, Manacorda, Papini, Rodolico, Sciacca, Sciamannini, Vaccari, Veuthey, Zolli).
