CLEMENTINA. – Name of the Societas hebraica Parisiensis, founded by French Capuchins in the 17th century and approved by Clement XIII, with the aim of deepening biblical exegesis, especially of the Psalms and Prophets, based on the original text and the rule of the double literal sense. It published Principes discutés (Paris 1755–64), issued in Italian in Macerata in 1709–95.
