CLEMENTINA. — Name of the Societas hebraica Parisiensis, founded by French Capuchins in the eighteenth century and approved by Clement XIII, with the aim of deepening biblical exegesis, especially that of the Psalms and the Prophets, on the basis of the original text and the rule of the twofold literal sense. It published Principes discutés (Paris 1755–64), issued in Italian at Macerata in 1709–95.
