DE MIRACULIS SANCTI STEPHANI. - A collection of miracles of St. Stephen published by a cleric of the church of Uzala in Africa and dedicated to the bishop of that city, Evodius, a friend of St. Augustine. Some of the relics of St. Stephen, discovered in 415 in Jerusalem, were brought to Africa, where they aroused fervent veneration through many miracles, the account of which Evodius, who shared in St. Augustine's enthusiasm for the cult of the protomartyr, had collected by one of his clerics.
