GRANELLO, TOMMASO MARIA. - Dominican theologian, born in Bologna on 22 Aug. 1840, died in Rome on 24 March 1911.
Having received the Dominican habit in Rome (20 Oct. 1860), owing to the political events of 1866 he was obliged to take refuge in France. Upon returning to Italy, he taught in Florence, Bologna, and Ferrara (1876), where he was master of novices. He founded and directed for several years (1884–95) the journal Il Rosario. Memorie domenicane. He was companion to the commissioner of the Holy Office (1885–96), then commissioner himself (1897), and titular archbishop of Seleucia (1897).
