PIETRO (CAMBIANI) di RUFFIA, blessed. — Dominican preacher, born at Ruffia (Cuneo) at the beginning of the fourteenth century, martyred at Susa on 2 February 1365.
Having devoted himself to preaching, he converted many heretics; but others, obstinate in heresy, murdered him in the convent of the Friars Minor at Susa. His body was transferred to the Dominican church of Turin. Pius IX approved his cult, and his feast was fixed for 7 November and permitted in the dioceses of Turin, Saluzzo, and Susa.
