ROBERTO DI COLLE TORTO (Tortocollo), also known as di Orford (Erford). - Born in southern England, died toward the end of the 13th century. He entered the Dominican Order and around 1285 was magister regent and preacher of the University of Oxford, where he certainly remained until 1293.

All his works are a defense of the doctrines of St. Thomas Aquinas: Reprobationes dictorum a fr. Aegidio in sententiarum libros (Merton College 276); a commentary on the 2nd book of the Sentences (Klosterneuburg 322); against the Franciscan William de Mare the correctorium "Sciendum" (cod. lat. 468, Berlin, State Library). His last work known thus far is the Impugnatio Henrici de Gandavo (Vat. lat. 987), of which manuscripts are also found in the Vallicelliana and in the Library of Peterhouse at Cambridge. These writings are distinguished by their calm and depth.
