SCHOLLINER, HERMANN. – Benedictine theologian, born in Freising on 15 January 1722, died at Welchenberg on 16 July 1795. He became a monk at Oberaltaich (1738), studied in Erfurt and Salzburg; he became director of Benedictine studies in Bavaria (1752), then professor of dogmatic theology at Salzburg (1759); after 1766 he retired to his abbey.
