SACRAMENTINES OF MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS. - Founded at Dunkirk in 1849 by Mathilde Marie de Sticker (Mother Marie Joseph of Jesus).

Approved in the same year by Cardinal Régnier, Archbishop of Paris, they received from Pius IX in 1857 the decree of praise. The definitive approval of the Institute and of the Constitutions dates from 1887. Consecrated to the adoration of the Most Holy Eucharist in constant thanksgiving, the sisters also devote themselves to preparing young boys for First Communion and to retreats for ladies. The Institute has two houses, one in Italy, one in Switzerland and two in France, with 40 religious.
