ANADON, JUAN. — Ascetic writer of the Carthusian Order, b. at Vivel del Río Martín (Spain) in the first half of the 17th century, d. at Las Fuentes on 14 April 1682. He received the Carthusian habit in the charterhouse called *Aula Dei* near Saragossa, where he served twice as vicar. He was also prior in the charterhouse of Nuestra Señora de Las Fuentes (diocese of Huesca) and confessor to Prince John of Austria, son of Philip IV. To him he dedicated his work *Fomes divini amoris, seu amatorium divinum, ex caelestibus floribus ac mire accensis Sanctorum Patrum et piissimorum Doctorum allocutionibus depictum* (Madrid 1678), in which he seeks to dispose the soul to divine contemplation.
