4th century). He is spoken of in the life of St. Ambrose, on account of
the part taken by the bishop of Milan in his appointment
(380). He was present at the Council of Aquileia of 381,
where Arianism was condemned. He is also mentioned in the Roman Synod of 382.Before 391, A. was already dead, because by that date Sirmium had a
